A non-governmental organization, based in Delta State, Elomaz Foundation, has paid the 2023 West African Examination Council (WAEC) registration fees for eligible students of the Ayakoromo Grammar School community, Burutu Local Government Area, Delta State.
Elomaz Foundation owned by Delta South Senatorial APC candidate, Hon Joel Onowakpo-Thomas, has Chief Mrs Veronica Odogu as its Director General, came to the aid of the students who could not afford the WAEC fee, by registering and paying all the monetary requirements for all eligible students who will be writing the May/June WAEC exams this year.
The philanthropic activities of Elomaz Foundation have also been noticed across the state and beyond, as parents of the 15 students who benefitted and the Vice Principal of Ayakoromo Grammar School, commended the gesture of Hon Joel-Onowakpo Thomas and Elomaz Foundation.
While presenting the WAEC registration cheques to the beneficiaries, the Director General of Elomaz Foundation, Chief Mrs Veronica Odogu, said, the initiative was in fulfilment of Hon Joel-Onowakpo Thomas pledged to the people of Ayakoromo community to register indigene students of the Community Grammar School for WAEC this year.
“It is Hon Joel-Onowakpo Thomas and Elomaz Foundation dream to see the beneficiaries achieve their dreams in life. We must do our parts to build a better society, where everybody is given the chance to achieve their goals. I urge the beneficiaries to read and come out with flying colours so that the effort of Hon Joel-Onowakpo Thomas and Elomaz Foundation to see them have WAEC results is not in vain.”

The Vice Principal Ayakoromo Grammar School, Mr Julius Boliegha who represented the Principal of the School, Mr Negerese Oyaluligha, said, “We are indeed grateful to God the giver of life and to Hon Joel-Onowakpo Thomas and his Foundation Elomaz for extending this kind gestures to our Children and my School.
“For long I have heard of his philanthropist gestures to Isoko nation. I known him to be a silent giver, generously too, through the Elomaz Foundation. We pray God Almighty to bless and grant him all his heart desires”
On his part, the Senior Prefect of Ayakoromo Grammar School, Godday Miracle, expressed gratitude to God for using Hon Joel-Onowakpo Thomas and Elomaz Foundation to solve their WAEC registration challenges.
Mr Demebide Stephen who spoke on behalf of the parents, commended Elomaz Foundation and Hon Joel-Onowakpo Thomas for coming to their aid by registering them for the 2023 West Africa Examination Council, WAEC.
While Ambassador Timi Coleman who witnessed the cheque presentation to the students, commended Hon Joel-Onowakpo Thomas for redeeming his pledged to the people of Ayakoromo community. He urged the students to read so as to pass the examination.
