Enyimba Football Club striker, Victor Mbaoma, has signed two years contract with Mouloudia Club d’Alger, a North African club in the Algerian league topflight division.
Mbaoma, who got his first call up to the Super Eagles under Coach Jose Peseiro and a joint top scorer in the Nigeria Professionals Football League (NPFL) this season, joined the club on a free transfer.
The player has scored 16 goals this season in 28 appearances with one assist which has complemented the Peoples’ Elephant surge towards qualifying for a continental tourney.
Although the 25-year-old was left out of the Super Eagles’ squad that recorded a historic win against Sao Tome and Principe in Morocco, the move to the Algerian league will, however, boast a possible recall to the national side.
In a statement by Enyimba striker, who will be linking up with his new teammates next month, he claimed that the deal reveals the quality embedded in him and added that it is a dream cum reality.

The former Akwa United centre-forward, who scored 1 goal in 5 appearances for the Ibom side before switching to Remo Stars, stressed that an avenue has been created to get to his next career level.
“It feels great [joining MC Oran]. I feel this is the best chance for me to express the quality in me,” Mbaoma declared.
“It is a dream move and it came at the right time. I will use this opportunity to get to the next height of my career. Joining this great club, their style of play will help me grow.
“This is a great opportunity for me and I can’t wait to compete in front of the fans in MC Oran,” the striker added.
Remarkably, the Enyimba striker got his first call-up to the senior men’s national football team in 2022 when Jose Poseiro listed him for two international friendly matches against CONCACAF giants Mexico and Ecuador in the United States on May 29 and June 3 respectively.
Reportedly, Mbaoma was subject to interest from Mouloudia Club Oranais, another Algerian club and Egyptian club Zamalek.
