Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma has taken oath of office for a second term after being re-elected.
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri, the Imo State capital, at around 3:24 pm on Monday.
The governor’s inauguration came just minutes after Lady Chinyere Ekomaru took her oath of office as the Deputy Governor of Imo State.

President Bola Tinubu, ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo, Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas were all in attendance.
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had declared Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress, APC winner of the November 11 governorship election in the state.
The Monday’s Sit-at-Home order by the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra ( IPOB), did not hold as residents of South-East zone were seen trooping into the state to Dan Anyiam stadium to participate in the second term inauguration ceremony.
