Umahi reiterates commitment to complete ongoing projects before exit

Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has reiterated his administration’s commitment to complete all ongoing projects before bowing out of office.

Umahi made the pledge during a town hall meeting with the people and Stakeholders of Ọkpọsị and Ugwulangwu Communities in Ohaozara Local Government Area on Sunday.

Addressing the people, Umahi said he was in the areas to inform them that his eight year tenure was coming to an end in a few months.

He used the opportunity to sensitize the people on the need to support an Izzi man to succeed him at the end of his administration.

The Governor assured the people that all ongoing projects within the areas, mostly bridges, would be completed in two weeks.

Umahi also announced that he would flag off the construction of Umuka road in the coming weeks.

He thanked the Traditional Rulers and other Stakeholders for their solidarity with his administration.

Governor Umahi gave the former Special Assistant on Drug Control, Chief Mark Onu forty-eight hours to return the over one hundred and forty million naira given to him for development of Ọkpọsị Community or risk prosecution.

Earlier, the Executive Chairman of Ohaozara Local Government Area, Mr Chinonso Aja thanked the Governor for his matchless infrastructural development in the Council.

He assured that the people would deliver all APC Candidates in the forthcoming Governorship and State Assembly elections.

President General of Ọkpọsị Okwu, High Chief John Okwesi, Eze Cosmas Agwu and Eze Chukwu Agwu acknowledged the high development index of Ebonyi State through the ingenuity of Governor Umahi and pledged that the people would vote for APC across board in the coming elections.

Others, Dr. Kenneth Okoro, Mr. Chukwudi Esor Udogu and the Chief of Staff, Chief Samuel Okoronkwo appreciated the Governor for his exceptional love for the people and pledged to repay the love through the ballot on Saturday.

A House of Assembly Candidate of Action Alliance, AA defected to APC at the town hall meeting.

Addressing the Stakeholders of Ugwulangwu, Governor Umahi thanked them for their continued support to his administration and encouraged them to vote for all Candidates of APC in the forthcoming Governorship and State Assembly elections in the State.

“Let me tell you how to be successful in life, be grateful, Ugwulangwu people do me a favour, go and buy a coupon, your coupon is your vote for Ogbonnaya Nwifuru on Saturday.”

The Governor at the event received countless number of decampees comprising of Labour Party Youth Leader, Chairman PDP Ugbogologo Ward and others who defected to the APC from PDP and APGA.
