In a series of coordinated operations, troops of ‘Operation Hadin Kai’, working in conjunction with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) have neutralised several Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists, recovering arms, ammunition, and explosive materials.
A statement by the army disclosed that on May 21, 2025, troops responded swiftly to an attempted looting of a broken-down civilian vehicle by terrorists in Rann.
The operation, was said to have led to the elimination of six insurgents and the recovery of several AK-47 rifles and a cache of ammunition.

In a separate operation, troops from the forward operating base in Molai, supported by CJTF members, staged a successful ambush at a known terrorist crossing point near Komala, along the Maiduguri-Damboa Road.
The ambush resulted in the neutralisation of additional terrorists and the seizure of multiple motorcycles and materials used in the production of improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
Military authorities reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining pressure on insurgent groups and restoring lasting peace to the region.
