Troops of ‘Operation HADIN KAI’ in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), have neutralised five terrorists and rescued three kidnapped civilians during an operation in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State.
The information which was contained in a statement issued by the Media Information Officer, Headquarters Joint Task Force (North East), ‘Operation HADIN KAI,’ Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, said the operation was carried out in the early hours of January 4, 2026, at a known terrorist crossing point along the Sojiri axis.
The troops, according to the statement, engaged the insurgents in a coordinated offensive, resulting in the deaths of five terrorists without any casualties among security forces.
The operation was also said to have led to the successful rescue of three civilians who had been abducted by the terrorists.

Weapons recovered at the scene included AK-47 rifles and other items.
The military said the outcome of the operation reflects the effectiveness of sustained offensive actions against terrorist groups and the importance of cooperation with local security stakeholders.
Troops are said to be maintaining dominance across the theatre of operations despite evolving security challenges.
‘Operation HADIN KAI’ reaffirmed its commitment to dismantling terrorist networks and restoring peace and stability in the North East.
