Tottenham Hotspur have opened negotiations with Manchester City over a potential double move for Brazilian winger Savinho and Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush as manager Roberto De Zerbi continues to reshape his attacking options ahead of the new Premier League season.

Talks between the two clubs are understood to be progressing, although no agreement has yet been reached for either player.

Tottenham have maintained an interest in Savinho since 2025, when the Brazil international opted to remain at Manchester City. However, his limited playing opportunities during the 2025-26 campaign could make him open to a move this summer.

The 22-year-old joined City from French club Troyes in 2024 for a fee of about £30 million but made only seven Premier League starts last season.

Marmoush is another player Tottenham have identified as a possible addition to their attack. The Egyptian forward moved to Manchester City from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2025 for around £59 million.

Although Marmoush found it difficult to secure a regular starting role under Pep Guardiola during his first full season at the club, he still managed eight goals in 36 appearances across all competitions in the 2025-26 campaign.

Manchester City’s valuation of the two players has not been disclosed, but the Premier League champions are expected to seek substantial fees given their previous investments in both forwards.

The potential double deal comes as Tottenham step up their recruitment following a disappointing Premier League campaign that saw the club finish 17th.

Spurs scored only 48 goals in 38 league matches last season, highlighting the need for greater attacking depth and efficiency.

De Zerbi has already strengthened his midfield this summer with the arrivals of Mateus Fernandes from West Ham United and Sandro Tonali from Newcastle United, in deals reportedly worth a combined £185 million.

The Tottenham manager is now looking to add more firepower, with Savinho and Marmoush emerging as possible targets.

Tottenham are also continuing to monitor Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo, although the club’s ability to pursue the Netherlands international could depend on the outcome and cost of their negotiations for the Manchester City duo.

For City, any departures would form part of a summer of significant squad changes, with the club already having sanctioned several major exits, including those of captain Rodri, midfielder Tijjani Reijnders and second-choice goalkeeper James Trafford.

Tottenham will begin their Premier League campaign away to Brentford on Saturday, while Manchester City are scheduled to host Bournemouth on Sunday.

With negotiations still ongoing, Tottenham face a race against time to complete any potential deal before the new season gets underway.
