Tottenham Hotspur are on the verge of securing one of the most exciting transfers of the summer, with RB Leipzig forward Xavi Simons set to complete a £51.8 million move to north London.
Reports from England suggest the Dutch international has already undergone his medical ahead of the switch, with final details expected to be confirmed within the next 24 hours. At PSG, Neymar treated him like a younger brother, but limited opportunities saw him look elsewhere for regular football.
Now set for the Premier League, the versatile attacker, capable of playing on both wings or as an advanced midfielder, will bring creativity and flair to Tottenham’s forward line. Simons has already represented the Netherlands 28 times and made history at the 2022 Qatar World Cup by becoming the youngest Dutch player to feature in a knockout stage match.
