Ex-militant leader, Government Oweizide E k p e m u p o l o ( a k a Tompolo), has sent a strong warning to killer herdsmen and other terrorists in the forests of the Niger Delta to quit or get themselves to blame in due course. He gave the warning through Ijaw interest groups, Edo State Izonebe Development Forum, Ijaw Youths Council(IYC) and Ijaw National Congress(INC), on the occasion of his 51st birthday on Tuesday, The Trumpet gathered.
In commemorating the memorable day, the groups had embarked on a peace rally around the Benin City centre up to the secretariat of the Edo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ) in Benin City.
One of the leaders of the groups, Chief Robinson Ogunkoru, stated that they decided to embark on the peace rally to show their love and respect for Tompolo for his peace advocacy in the country, especially in the Niger Delta.

Olopele Ebi Olopele, President of the Edo State Izonebe Development Forum, paid tributes to Tompolo for his efforts to ensure that peace reigns in the Niger Delta. R e s p o n d i n g , Chairman of the NUJ, Comrade Festus Alenkhe, advised the groups not to let hoodlums hijack the rally.
He commended Tompolo for his peace advocacy while congratulating him for attaining the age 51.
