“People assume I’m a womanizer, but I haven’t shared a bed with a woman in 2 years. Nollywood has taken over my life. I’m on set all day, return home at 11pm and take a shot of Martell to calm down before sleeping. I’m not really on the streets,” he said.
Timini explained that his filming schedule keeps him occupied throughout the day, with late-night returns leaving him with little energy to pursue relationships or maintain an active social life.
His comments have renewed discussions about the impact of fame and professional commitments on his personal relationships, particularly given his reputation for playing romantic leads in Nollywood productions.
Earlier Reflections on Love and Loss
The actor’s disclosure also echoes his previous comments about the challenges of balancing his career with his private life.
In February 2026, Timini spoke about losing a woman he considered his soulmate because he prioritised work and financial success over being emotionally available in the relationship.
Speaking during an interview with media personality JayOnAir, the actor admitted that his former partner wanted him to be more present, but his demanding schedule affected their relationship.
She has since married someone else, according to his account.
Timini said the experience taught him that providing financially was not enough to sustain a relationship, stressing the importance of time, communication and emotional availability.
The actor also revealed that the death of his father on January 1, 2026, made him reflect on the time he had spent prioritising work over family. He acknowledged that he wished he had been more available to his father while he was alive.

Public Image vs Private Life
These earlier reflections add context to his latest comments, suggesting that the demands of his career have been a recurring concern as he reassesses his priorities outside the film industry.
Timini, who rose to prominence through productions including Tinsel, MTV Shuga and Skinny Girl in Transit, has built a strong following through his performances in romantic dramas and other Nollywood films.
His on-screen image has also contributed to public curiosity about his love life, with the actor previously acknowledging that people sometimes confuse the characters he portrays with his real personality.
The latest remarks have attracted attention amid online speculation about his relationship with fellow actress Bimbo Ademoye. However, Timini did not directly address the rumours in the comments circulating online.
Timini’s disclosure has since brought renewed attention to the challenges of maintaining romantic relationships while pursuing a demanding career, as well as the difference between a celebrity’s public image and private life.
