The District Head of Tsokundi in Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State, Manu Irimiya Bako Adi, has praised Governor Agbu Kefas for approving a rural electrification project in the community, calling it a major step toward economic growth and development.
During a press briefing in Tsokundi on Thursday, Adi Bako expressed deep appreciation for the project’s progress, revealing that electricity poles have already been installed. He urged the government to accelerate completion, emphasizing the transformative impact stable electricity would have on the community. “Tsokundi is blessed with fertile land for growing rice, cassava, and other crops. With electricity, our people will no longer need to travel long distances for essential services that require power,” he stated.
Adding his voice to the commendation, former youth leader Manessh Yakubu Tsokundi hailed Governor Kefas for bringing the much-needed infrastructure to their community. He noted that reliable electricity would not only improve the quality of life but also empower local businesses, drive job creation, and enhance productivity. He also called on the state government to complete an abandoned road project initiated by the previous administration, stressing its importance to the region’s development.

Meanwhile, Nuhu Haye, the site engineer supervising the electrification project, provided an update on the progress, disclosing that the work is already 90% complete. He assured residents that, barring unforeseen circumstances, the project would be fully operational by May. “The work is being carried out to high standards, and we appreciate the community for their support,” Haye affirmed.
As anticipation builds, residents of Tsokundi eagerly await the life-changing impact of electricity in their community, marking a new era of progress under Governor Kefas’s administration.
