Former Super Eagles striker Mfon Udoh narrowly escaped death after being involved in a serious car accident on Thursday, July 3, 2025. The crash left his vehicle severely damaged, but the 32-year-old footballer miraculously survived and is currently receiving medical care.

According to sources close to the player, Udoh was immediately rushed to the hospital where he is under close observation by medical professionals. Doctors are monitoring his condition to ensure a stable and complete recovery.

Udoh, a revered figure in Nigerian football, rose to fame in 2014 when he shattered records by scoring 23 goals in a single Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) season while playing for Enyimba. His prolific goal-scoring continued in the 2016 CAF Champions League, where he once again topped the charts. He later featured for Akwa United and then moved abroad to join FC Tulsa in the United States.
