Speaking at the BBNaija press conference in Lagos, Adeola Oluwatobi, brand marketing and partnerships manager at Showmax, said, “For the past two years, Showmax has been bringing BBNaija exclusives to viewers and fans. Last year we launched BBNaija S6: The Buzz, which became the go-to gist and opinion box for the reality series and we’re thrilled that it’s back for another season.”
The return of BB Naija S7: The Buzz highlights Showmax’s commitment to investing in Nigerian Original content such as I Am LAYCON, a reality series that followed the journey of Big Brother Naija Season 5’s winner Olamilekan ‘Laycon’ Agbeleshe, and Ghana Jollof, which was produced by and starred comedian Basketmouth.
The Real Housewives of Lagos, a Showmax Original reality series that premiered in April, broke streaming records on Showmax for the highest first-day views in Nigeria. This was followed by Journey of the Beats, a 10-part music documentary that traces the story of Afrobeats from its roots to its modern-day adoration across the globe.
