A frontline Support Group for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Alh. Atiku Abubakar, the South East Atikulated Vanguard, SEAV, Imo State Chapter, has called on the people of the state to vote massively for Atiku/Okowa ticket and other PDP candidates in the forthcoming general elections.

State Coordinator of the group, Chief Stanley Obioha, who spoke to newsmen in Owerri urged Imolites to turn out in large numbers to welcome the PDP flagbearer and his running mate, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in Owerri promised to work hard with his support group to make sure that Alhaji Atiku Abubarkar emerges the winner of the presidential election come 2023.

He explained that SEAV being the only support group rooted in the 305 electoral wards in Imo State is poised as a well-established grassroots-based support group has its primary aim targeted at delivering all the PDP candidates come 2023.

Obioha admonished the Imo electorate to use their permanent voter’s card, PVC, to sack the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, for its misrule which has brought untold hardship on Nigerians.

According to him, Atiku is coming to correct the maladministration that President Muhammadu Buhari and his APC have bestowed upon the country in the last eight years and restore public confidence in governance.

“Imo State will vote massively for Atiku/Okowa ticket and all the PDP candidates in next year’s elections because we have suffered enough under the present APC misrule at the national and state levels. Definitely, a change of government is inevitable now for Nigerians to heave a sigh of relief,” he stated.

While welcoming Atiku and the PDP national leadership to Imo today for the official flag-off of the party’s campaign in Imo, Obioha assured the visitors of the legendary hospitality of Imolites who he said are predominantly PDP members.

“Your Excellency you are welcomed to the Eastern heartland, a state of milk and honey where the only language is PDP. On Atiku/Okowa presidential bid we stand.”
