The Government of Kaduna state have confirmed that score of deaths caused by deadly attacks from rampaging bandits have been recorded, Sunday, in Giwa Local Government Area in Kaduna State.

In a statement by the Internal Security and Home Affairs Commissioner of Kaduna State, Samuel Aruwan, he said that the attacks were perpetrated in Marke, Riheya, and Kauran Fawa in Idasu area of Giwa local government.

According to Aruwan, the Nigeria Military and Police confirmed the number of deaths recorded during the attack to the Kaduna State Government.

The commissioner further revealed that the identity of the victims will be made public after a proper identification exercise has been conducted.

Kaduna state is one of the volatile states in the Northwest region of the country that is a harbour for bandits and terrorists. The state in recent times has been a hot zone for bandits, criminals, and kidnappers who launch all forms of attacks to make life unbearable for the citizens of the state thereby crumbling their means of livelihood.
