A Northern-based Christian leader, AVM Monday Morgan, has refuted claims that Christians in the North are in the minority.
He spoke Tuesday morning while discussing the Muslim-Muslim ticket adopted by the All Progressives Congress (APC) during an interview on Channels TV’s Politics Today.
He explained that Christians are not in the minority in the North, stating that Christians in Adamawa and Taraba States are not below 80% and 75% respectively.

According to him, “In Plateau State, Christians are not below 85%, in Benue State, they are not below 90%, in Kogi State we speak 50-50, while in Kwara State, Muslims are 60% and Christians 40%.”
In Borno State, he explained that Muslims are 60%, while Christians are 40%; in Kaduna State, it is 40% – 60%, adding that in the whole of the north-central and the northwest, the Christians cannot be pulled by the side.
AVM Morgan noted that he saw the bluff of the APC campaign mouthpiece, Festus Keyamo, when the spokesman of the Northern Elders Forum said they were going to present their own bargaining chips to the parties.
