Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has broken her silence amid the ongoing public feud with her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, accusing him of manipulation, emotional abuse, and deceit.
In a series of statements released early Saturday, November 9, 2025, the actress refuted Nwoko’s claims that her family and friends were responsible for her alleged drug problems, saying the senator was “using the drugs story as a cover-up” to divert public attention from their real marital crisis.
Regina wrote, “Ned, how could you lie so openly and without remorse? You know my family has absolutely nothing to do with this. You have always tried to cut them off because of the bond we share, and now you are trying to make them look bad for no reason.”
The actress admitted that she once battled drug use but insisted it was not the reason for their fallout. “Fine, I did drugs. So what? Is that even the issue between us? The moment we had a fight, you rushed to the public shouting ‘drugs, drugs, drugs,’ because you knew it would make a perfect story for the media,” she said.
Regina accused the Delta senator of attempting to isolate her from her loved ones and weaponizing her personal struggles to gain public sympathy. “You want to find a reason to arrest everyone around me so that I will have no one left beside me. Then, when I’m completely broken, I’ll be forced to come back to you,” she alleged.
The actress claimed that Nwoko’s behavior had always been controlling, describing him as someone who “breaks people down to make them weak and powerless.” She went further to allege that he encouraged her drug use to satisfy his own desires. “You say you want me to go for rehab, but you are the same Ned who always wanted me high because, in your words, I’m sexier when I’m high,” she wrote.
In her emotional statement, Regina accused Nwoko of physical and psychological abuse, claiming that he often locked her up, seized her phones, and forced medical treatments on her. “Why don’t you tell them how you lock me up, seize my phones, and suddenly declare me mentally unstable the moment I say I no longer want to be in this relationship?” she said.
She further alleged that the senator compelled doctors to inject her with medication meant for patients with bipolar disorder, describing the experience as traumatic. “You have never seen me act incoherent or lose control. Stop using the ‘drugs’ narrative to distract people. Tell them the truth,” she said, adding that every problem between them began when she decided to walk away.

Regina also dismissed Nwoko’s claims of a legal marriage, saying their union had no formal legal recognition. “I would have filed for divorce long ago if there was ever a legal marriage between us. We were never married in any court of law, and no documents were signed,” she stated.
Concluding her remarks, the actress told Nwoko to move on and stop trying to control her. “No matter how much you think you spent on me, it can never equal the value of the time I gave you, my prime years, my energy, and the career opportunities I sacrificed while being with you. Leave me alone, Ned. Marriage is not by force. Love is not by force. Stop trying to control what no longer belongs to you.”
The explosive statement comes just a few hours after Senator Nwoko released a lengthy account accusing Regina and her family of drug abuse, domestic chaos, and misconduct, claims that have since ignited widespread debate on social media.
As of press time, Senator Nwoko has not publicly responded to Regina’s latest allegations.
