In the men’s Division One category, Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) produced a commanding performance to defeat Katsina United in straight sets.
The NIS controlled the pace of the game from start to finish, claiming a convincing 3-0 victory with set scores of 25-20, 25-19, and 25-19.
Wikki Spikers also maintained their impressive run in the tournament with another dominant outing against Sword VC.
The Bauchi-based side overwhelmed their opponents with powerful attacks and solid blocking to record a comfortable 3-0 win. The set scores ended 25-16, 25-19, and 25-18.
One of the most entertaining matches of the day came in the clash between Kada Kings and Adamawa Spikers.
Kada Kings showed resilience and composure, especially in the third set, to seal a hard-fought straight-set victory. The Kaduna side won 25-19, 25-17, and edged a tense final set 28-26.
In the women’s Division One category, QAT battled past ACE Spikers in a highly competitive encounter.
QAT started strongly by taking the first two sets 25-17 and 25-23 before ACE Spikers fought back to claim the third set 26-24.
However, QAT regained control in the fourth set to secure a 3-1 victory with a 25-16 finish.
Action also continued in the men’s Division Two category where the Fire Service team proved too strong for Niger Brass.
Fire Service displayed superior coordination and attacking efficiency to claim a straight-set 3-0 win with scores of 25-23, 25-20, and 25-21.
Meanwhile, organisers have announced a packed schedule for day six of the championship, with several crucial fixtures expected to shape the standings.
