Organisers of Nigeria’s leading grassroots football tournament, the Bayelsa Governor’s Football Tournament (Prosperity Cup), have congratulated Ovieteme George of Arise Television on his recognition as Best Reporter of the Year by the Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria.
In a statement issued on behalf of the Central Organising Committee, the tournament’s Director General, Ono Akpe, described the award as a reflection of George’s consistent contribution to promoting the Niger Delta, particularly Bayelsa State.
Akpe noted that the reporter’s work has strengthened public awareness of issues affecting communities in the region, while enhancing the editorial impact of Arise Television on national discourse.
