John Terry said he would support anyone who can be held accountable by the club’s fans to take over Chelsea.
The former Chelsea captain, according to reports, has thrown his support behind a group that wants to buy 10% of the West London club.
Terry opined that he would want Chelsea’s history and heritage protected as the club goes into a new era with people who are driven by the passion to sustain the long-term vision of the club.
He said, “Chelsea has been such an important part of my life for 22 years. I want to see the club’s history and heritage protected as we go into a new era with like-minded people who have the same long-term vision of building the best football club in the world and understand how important our DNA is.”

It is believed that Terry has thrown his support behind the True Blues consortium which has the support of the club’s former fullback Claire Rafferty, Chelsea Pitch Owners, Chelsea Supporters Trust, and under the advisory tutelage of Oakvale Capital. The Trumpet gathered.
More so, several bids for a takeover have been launched before the American investment firm Raine Group which is in charge of the sale expected to be completed by the end of March.
Despite many contenders interested in the West London club, the numbers will be pruned among leading interests to a shortlist within the week.
