Prevent politicians hijacking your revalidation process, PRP tells INEC

Chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) in Edo State, Dr. Greg Osasere Igbinowanhia, has described the recent revalidation of the Permanent Voter Card (PVC) as the first step toward rigging the 2023 general elections.

Assessing the exercise in the state, he claimed that information reaching him from some of his party field officers indicated that in some local government areas, officials of some of the parties were in the habit of hoarding the cards to the detriment of other parties, The Trumpet gathered.

“The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) should do well in making sure that the process is not hijacked by some greedy politicians who are intent on shortchanging others,” he said According to him, field officers of the PRP had reported that some politicians were hoarding the PVC and depriving prospective voters of getting registered.
