As the race for the 2023 presidential election gathers momentum, former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has reacted to calls for him to contest the 2023 presidential election by some of his supporters.
The supporters who stormed his office in Abuja made up of mostly youth and women, called on him to contest the 2023 presidency and rescue Nigeria from insecurity, hunger, and unemployment, among others.

The supporters who spoke through one Comrade Mayor Samuel asked the former president for forgiveness stating that they were deceived by “saboteurs” and that their eyes were now opened because those that deceived them were empty.
Reacting to the call Jonathan said, “I cannot tell you I am declaring now, but the political process is still ongoing.”
