The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi, on Thursday inspected security deployments at Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres for the ongoing Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) across Abuja.

The inspection, carried out on April 16, is part of proactive measures by the command to ensure a smooth, peaceful and hitch-free conduct of the examinations scheduled to run till April 18.

During the exercise, the commissioner of police assessed security arrangements at various centres, focusing on the safety of candidates, officials and examination infrastructure.

Sanusi reiterated the command’s commitment to maintaining law and order, warning that any attempt to disrupt the process would be met with decisive action in line with the law.

The command, in a statement by its Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, urged residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities through its emergency lines.

It further assured the public of its unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property during and beyond the examination period.
