- Multitudes swindled as hundreds of fake registration busted
Police in Lagos State have arrested five suspects who are staff of a fake Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) registration centre in the State.
It was gathered that hundreds of citizens have fallen prey to the well organised syndicate with an office situated at Jobi Fele Way, Alausa Business District, Alausa, Ikeja, through fake CAC registration.
Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos Police Command busted the Centre following credible intelligence, painstaking background check, and proper verification, the spokesperson of the Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin said in a statement on Thursday.
According to him, several forged CAC documents, a Toyota Sienna, and a Toyota Matrix used as makeshift offices for the syndicate’s nefarious transactions were recovered by the operatives, who were led by the Commander RRS, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi.
