The Kano State Police Command has arrested two key suspects involved in a robbery and attempted murder incident that took place at Bera Estate, Chevron, Lagos.
According to a statement released on Saturday by the command’s spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Kiyawa, the breakthrough came on September 11 when tactical operatives, acting on intelligence, apprehended the suspects at Na’ibawa Quarters in Kano.
The suspects, identified as Mathew Adewole of Naibawa Quarters, and Mukhtar Muhammad of Unguwa Uku Quarters, were allegedly involved in the brutal August 19 attack on Lagos resident and entertainer, Lil-Kesh.
He said during the robbery, Adewole reportedly inflicted a severe neck wound on the victim and forced a transfer of N2,120,000 to Muhammad’s account via mobile banking.
He noted that Adewole has since confessed to the crime, which was initially under investigation by the Lagos State Police Command.
