The leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Isoko North Local Government Area, Friday, pledged to remain united in moving the party forward.
At a stakeholders’ meeting held at the party’s secretariat in Ozoro, the leaders of the party led by the member representing Isoko Federal Constituency, Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko enjoined members aggrieved over one issue or another to put the past behind them and work for the unity and progress of the party.
Speaking to the leaders and members of the PDP, House of Representatives member, Hon Ukodhiko said, “we will do everything to make everyone in the party work together in a united and peaceful manner.”
Hon. Ukodhiko urged that, “let’s stay together as a united people to support our leader and Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, to ensure his policies and programmes as encapsulated in his M.O.R.E Agenda will be further achieved in the Local Government Area to the benefits of our people.
“On behalf of my family, our leader, Rt. Hon. Leo Ogor and the leadership of our party, PDP, I thank you all for your continued support to our party, and its elected and appointed officials both at the State and Local Level.
“As you all can see here today, the leadership has come together. We are more united as a family. I must appeal to those who are yet to get appointments to exercise patience as more appointments are coming our way.” Hon. Ukodhiko urged.
Leaders of the Isoko North PDP present at the meeting included pioneer speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emmanuel Okoro, Chairman, Delta State Hospital Management Board, Dr Paul Oweh.

Others were the State Commissioner for Health, Dr Joseph Onojaeme, Chairman, Isoko North Local Government Council, Eldr. Godwin Ogorugba, and the member representing Isoko North Constituency in the State House or Assembly, Hon. Bernard Odior.
They revealed that the leaders of the Local Government Area of the party are in unity and have resolved to work together.
In his remark, Chairman, PDP Isoko North Chapter, Hon. Bernard Idisi, while thanking the leaders of the party for their support said, “with today’s meeting, the Local Government Area Chapter of the party has been brought together as one.”
Former Chairman of the party in the Local Government Area, Hon. Daniel Tutumor moved a motion of confidence on the State Governor, Rt Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and was seconded by the leader of the Isoko North Legislative Arm, Hon Pascal Emeluaha.
Highlight of the meeting was the formal presentation of the newly elected Exco of the party at the Local Government level and that of the Ward level by the State Organizing Secretary of the PDP, Hon. Emmanuel Egbabor.
