Pastor escapes from kidnapper den in Kaduna

Pastor Yahaya Dikko of Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) Kaduna, who was kidnapped by suspected Gunmen two months ago, has escaped from the forest.

The pastor was Kidnapped in Sabon Kurutu in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State in June 2022.

However, the bandits demanded for an undisclosed ransom to regain his freedom. But after the payment of the ransom, and two new Motorcycles were delivered, the terrorists still held him in captivity.

He escaped from the kidnappers’ den two days ago and had since been taken to the hospital for treatment

Also confirming the release, a community leader, Mr Makeri Danjuma Mohammad said the pastor’s abductors refused to release him after collecting ransom and motorcycles worth N800,000.

“This is Pastor Yahaya D Dikko of ECWA Church Sabon Kurutu in Kachia LGA of Kaduna State. He was kidnapped about two months ago. Ransom has been paid but the Kidnappers insisted that a motorcycle worth N800,000 must be brought before his release,” he said.

According to him, the pastor escaped miraculously, adding that he had been taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.
