Pastor Chris Okafor, founder of the Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministry, has reacted subtly after Nollywood actress Doris Ogala publicly called on security agencies to investigate his church following allegations of a death linked to its construction.
Rather than issuing a direct statement, Pastor Okafor took to social media, where he shared a video of himself preaching and accompanied it with a Bible verse many have interpreted as a response to the growing controversy. The cleric wrote, “When God’s concerns become your concerns, your concerns will become His concerns. If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire and it shall be done for you,” quoting John 15:7.
The post surfaced shortly after Doris Ogala made explosive claims during an appearance on the KAA Truths podcast, where she urged the Department of State Services to investigate the church altar. Ogala suggested that the altar could hold evidence connected to a fatal incident that allegedly occurred during the construction of the church building.
According to the actress, part of the structure collapsed while work was ongoing, resulting in the death of an individual. She further claimed that a blogger later discovered “something on the ground” at the site, a finding she said caused panic and raised fresh concerns about what truly happened.

Ogala also alleged that Pastor Okafor contacted her privately after the incident, seeking advice on how to manage the situation and prevent the blogger from making the information public. She claimed the cleric was anxious about the potential fallout if the matter became widely known.
“When they were building that place, it collapsed and someone died,” Ogala said during the podcast. “Apart from the death, a blogger found something on the ground. This man was pleading with me, asking what he could do to silence the blogger.”
As of the time of this report, the Department of State Services has not issued any official statement regarding the allegations, and Pastor Chris Okafor has not addressed the claims directly beyond his social media post. The controversy continues to draw intense public attention, fueling debate across social media and raising calls for clarity from the authorities.
