Edo State Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki, has assured that all facilities at the newly constructed Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub and Soundstage will be ready in the next six weeks.
The governor gave the assurance while speaking to journalists after an inspection tour of facilities at the hub.
The governor said his administration is committed to sustaining investment in the creative and entertainment sector to harness the huge potential in the sector to boost the state’s economy.
He said, “We are going into the festive season and close to the end of the year. We have so many projects that I don’t want us to take these projects to next year. We want to know, if not this year, the time the projects will be completed.

“The reason is due to the inflation in the country today. If you are not clear as to when work starts, there can’t be assurance that the work will be completed or you being able to pay for it because you have contracted at a certain price and if not following through and work not completed, there will be price variation. This is what I am checking to make sure that our government is not open to uncertainty.
“We have been given assurances that if we come here in six weeks, this place should be ready and all the outstanding work should be ready. This is the commitment I got and I will hold them to it.”
