The Oleh Youth Council (OYC) Chairman, Okeh Best has officially received his certificate of office from the Delta State Government. The recognition, issued through the Ministry of Youth Development, solidifies the legitimacy of the council’s leadership after their inauguration a few months ago.
The certificate, presented by Mr. Felix Ogheneovo on behalf of the Commissioner for Youth and Development, Hon. Agbateyimiro Isaac Weyinmi, marks a significant endorsement by the state government. This validation is seen as a crucial step in strengthening the council’s role in youth empowerment and community development.
Reacting to the development, Chairman Okeh Best expressed gratitude for the government’s recognition and vowed to continue repositioning the council for greater impact.
“Today, the council is not only being recognized by the community, but the government, through the Ministry of Youth Development, has also extended its hand of endorsement to us. This is an action for which we are truly thankful,” he stated.
