Apex Igbo Socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo has celebrated the Minister of Works, Engr David Umahi on his remarkable 61st birthday anniversary on the 25th of July,2024.
Ohanaeze said in a moment of great pride and honour, joyously celebrates the esteemed Nigerian and political leader of the Southeast, Senator David Umahi.
As Nigerians, and particularly Ndigbo, come together to commemorate the life and achievements of Senator Umahi, Ohanaeze expressed the deepest gratitude and appreciation for his outstanding contributions to the nation.
A statement on Wednesday by Ohanaeze’s factional Secretary-general, Okechukwu lsiguzoro, stated that Senator David Umahi, referred to as “The Working Minister of Works,” stands as a beacon of exceptional leadership, unwavering dedication, and selfless service to both the Southeast region and the entire Nigeria.
The statement reads in part”His extraordinary humility, rooted in his humble beginnings, has catapulted him to the pinnacle of success as a certified engineer, a revered party leader, a mentor to the youth, and above all, a devout Christian and deacon of the Most High God. Ohanaeze Ndigbo proudly regards Senator Umahi as a servant leader, a gift from the Southeast to President Bola Tinubu and Nigeria as a whole.
“In the absence of our departed legends such as Dim Odimegwu Chukwuemeka Ojukwu, Dr Alex Ekwueme, Dr Michael Okpara, Rt. Hon. Dr Francis Akanu Ibiam, Dr Sam Mbakwe, and Dr C.C Onoh, Senator Umahi emerge as the new rallying point for the Igbo nation.
