The Ogun State Government has announced the appointment of Prince Saka Matemilola as the new Olowu of Owu, in Abeokuta North Local Government Area of the state.
Ten other stools across the State were also approved by the state government to be filled immediately.
The State government equally approved some persons to fill the hitherto vacant Chieftaincy titles in the state.
Chief Press Secretary to the Ogun Governor, Kunle Somorin says in a statement that the approval for the new Olowu of Owu’s appointment alongside the filling of ten other stools across the State was given by the Ogun State Executive Council meeting which took place on Monday, July 25th 2022.

“Other vacant stools filled with this approval are that of Prince Oluwaseyi Mulero as the Aboro of Obese in Yewah North Local Government Area while Prince Rufai Adeyalu was approved as the Lemo of Ode Remo in Shagamu Local Government Area of Ogun State”, the statement noted.
Prince Ademola Eletu is the Onitele of Itele in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area, Prince Ogunsola Muyideen Oluseyi Soile is the new Ayanperuwa of Sotubo in Shagamu Local Government Area and Prince Lukman Salami as the Ebi of Idena in Ikenne Local Government Area of the state.
The statement explained that at the same Exco meeting, approval was also given for the Chieftaincy declaration of Onikooko of Koko Ebiye in Ado-Odo/Ota LGA and the Olu of Ajura in Obafemi Owode LGA of Ogun State.
