The Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area, Prince Godwin Ogorugba, has officially signed the council’s 2026 budget into law.
Tagged the “budget of consolidation,” the budget stands at ₦15,765,689,606.40, made up of ₦7,431,365,960.33 allocated for recurrent expenditure and ₦8,318,647,041.31 allocated for capital projects.
The proposal was earlier presented to the Isoko North Legislative Arm, where it underwent detailed scrutiny before being passed and subsequently assented to by the council chairman.
Ogorugba assured residents of the local government of his administration’s commitment to building on the achievements recorded in the previous year, particularly in road infrastructure, health, education, and human development.
“Even as we approach a critical election period, our focus remains firmly on the development of Isoko North. We are determined to consolidate on the progress already made,” he said.
He also expressed appreciation to the Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, for his continued support of local governments across the state.

The chairman reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to advancing the MORE Agenda at the grassroots level.
The budget signing was witnessed by the Vice Chairman, Evelyn Aluta; Leader of the Isoko North Legislative Arm, Pascal Emeluaha; the Clerk of the House, Princess Oghale Oweh; the Head of Personnel Management, Mrs. Irene Onwodi; the Treasurer, Queen Elo Ogbogbo, and other top officials of the council.
