Kira (Kirat) Taiwo, daughter of late veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has reportedly welcomed a baby boy, just two days after her father’s burial.
The development has brought a moment of joy to the Hassan family, following the death and burial of the celebrated Yoruba actor.
Ogogo died on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the age of 66, after battling stage-four cancer.
His remains were buried according to Islamic rites on Monday, August 24, in his hometown of Ilaro, Ogun State, where Janazah prayers were also held.
Barely two days after the burial, news of Kira’s newborn son emerged, with fans and members of the entertainment community celebrating the arrival as a welcome moment of happiness amid the family’s grief.
Before his death, Kira had shared emotional messages from her father in which he encouraged her to remain strong and put her trust in Allah.

The birth of her son has consequently attracted emotional reactions from fans, with many describing the development as a symbol of new life and comfort for the Hassan family.
Reacting to the news online, Egberongbe Hazeez Hadeolar wrote: “Your papa no go anywhere. I am so happy we finally see our beloved legendary man back, OGOGO MI. Please take care of him.”
Another fan, Fauseeat Adeyanju, congratulated Kira, writing: “Congratulations, your Daddy is back. Take care of him.”
Ogunsola Sunday also wrote: “To God be the glory, great things He has done. Congratulations, iya Baba Tunde. Ayee opee yooo? It is well, IJN.”
The reported arrival of the baby has provided the family and Ogogo’s numerous admirers with a rare moment of celebration following the emotional farewell to the actor.
Ogogo was widely regarded as one of the prominent figures in Yoruba-language Nollywood, with a career spanning several decades and a lasting influence on the Nigerian film industry.
