Mall D’Oasis Shopping Centre Limited, a commercial development company, has announced its plans to change the landscape of retailing and hospitality industry by building a vast facility that will accommodate all creeds in a modern, civilised and somewhat sophisticated setting.

In spite of the harsh socio-economic environment occasioned by missed expectations from government at all levels, investors who believe in Nigeria’s huge market potential and positive returns on investments (RoIs) and are willing to broaden the business space, especially in the retail and hospitality sectors, have continued to invest in the country.

Conducting journalists round the facility recently in Lagos, its promoters, a consortium of consultants and investors, said the centre was poised to leave a signature of excellence, satisfaction and quality, across its various real estate developments. Owning the trade name Oasis, the firm is excited to introduce its flagship development, The Oasis Centre, Ikeja.

In her presentation on the Mall D’Oasis, Director of Accounts for Blu Flamingo, Mrs. Adelola Chu-Osakwe, said: “The Oasis Centre, Ikeja is a state-of-the-art lifestyle development, situated along the Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, Ikeja. A joint development between the Nigeria Police Cooperative Multipurpose Society Limited (POLCOOP) and Mall D’Oasis Shopping Centre Limited (MDO), the Oasis Centre is a unique mixed-use development and the first mixed-use space in Nigeria that will house three distinct development types in one building.

She explained that the sections are the retail section, which will house a variety of 42 distinct retail brands and will operate from its ground and first floors of the seven storey facility; a business section with flexible Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) component that will provide service for meeting rooms, boardrooms and meeting spaces.

“The hospitality section is a 200-room five-star hotel and suites component across four floors offering leisure and accommodation with executive lounges, gymnasium, spa, wellness suite, infinity pool, pool bar, piano bar, an all day dining and a rooftop bar with an open terrace view, overseeing the skyline of Ikeja,” she said.

Also in his presentation on the Wydham Hotel, its Managing Director, Ignatius Plangnaan, explained that Mall D’Oasis was set to enhance the quality of the hospitality industry with the introduction of Wyndham hotel brand-the signature brand of the largest hotel franchisor in the world, with over 8,900 hotels, 812,000 rooms in over 95 countries and counting by the day.

Plangnaan, who said the hotel will operate locally, but will deliver globally in terms of standards when completed in December this year, said: “Wyndham is a respected name in the upscale service industry and like every Wyndham hotel around the world, Wyndham Lagos, Ikeja will deliver comfort that exceeds expectations, with thoughtful services and amenities tailored to make guests make the most of their stay, in ways that are more enjoyable than they can imagine.
