Aribo, who complemented Gers last season’s blistering campaign where they reached the final of the Europa League against Frankfurt in Seville, has seen Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest swoop into Ibrox to snatch him away to the English Premier League.
According to Scottish Sun, Nottingham Forest have overtaken Crystal Palace in the bid to bring the Nigeria international to add flair to Steve Cooper’s squad for next season.
With the heat the news has generated in recent times, there is every tendency that the player who has a year left in his contract, will be sold by Rangers seeking to cash out from a deal valued at £8m speculatively.
Moreover, Rangers signed the Super Eagle for circa £300,000 from Charlton Athletic in 2019 and with a year left to run in his contract, will be eager to sell him to avoid losing out totally if he refuses to renew it next season.

Scottish Sun added that after the Greek billionaire sanctioned Awoniyi’s £17m deal, he directed Cooper to wrap up the versatile midfielder’s deal, who is reportedly also under the radar of Fulham.
Joe Aribo is highly rated by the Super Eagles and was named midfielder of the year at Nigerian football’s annual ‘Ballers Awards’.
