They declared their support during a meeting of the leaders of the various ethnic groups at Taase Hotel, Oleh Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State.

Speaking during the meeting the coordinator of the non-indigenes communities Superintendent Apostle Shola Oladipo said “We have heard your voice, with the little of the manifestos that you have given to us, shows you want to carry us along”.

“We have accepted you, if you are a bad person many of the non-indigenous communities leaders who are here today will not be here, but your attitude and character over the years has given you the acceptability”.

“Go and place your banners that non-indigenes in Isoko South are supporting you, let them know. We are not after money, once we are supporting you, we don’t go back “.

He said “There is something I believe, when you start something with God Almighty it never fails, God will always perfect it”.

He opined that the non-indigenes groups in Isoko South Local Government Area had been called to various places by politicians but after using them to win their elections they abandoned them.

He reiterated that “I have a name to protect, I will not do anything that will jeopardize the interest of all the non-indigenes in Isoko South, I will always defer back to them as a coordinator no matter the stakes.

Earlier, during the meeting, the convener of Youth O’clock Comrade Paris Blessed Ubara said that he will be the first chairman to give non-indigene a supervisory councilor if given the mandate as the local government council chairman of Isoko South.

He assured them of turning Isoko South Local Government Area to an economic hub in Delta State, “mechanic village, Oleh will be converted to spare parts market to bring the Igbo’s who are involved in spare parts business fully to Oleh, I will set up a committee to go to Onitsha and Lagos to tell them we have a new spare parts market for them to do business “.

“We will grow Isoko South in a way that our people will benefit economically without stressing them with revenue collection. We will turn the Araya Bible site into a tourist and prayer center. I can assure you people will come from all over to see the only place in the history of the world where the Holy Bible fell from heaven.

He affirmed that he will utilize the Aviara fish farm, with better strategy up to 1,000 youths can be gainfully employed to work in the farm. saying that he will not be a Local Government Council Chairman that will only rely on allocation from the Federal Government.

“We will work around the clock to ensure we provide a place to produce fish feeds and also make the raw materials for the production available. The rice farm will not be left out; we will utilize it to the fullest to ensure Isoko South produces its own rice.

He noted that with prudent management of resources available they will be able to achieve all the aforementioned things.

He added that “The era we are now, is the era of youths, our generation will no longer be spectators, we are ready to take what belongs to us with every available opportunity. Over the years we have learnt our lessons of being spectators. Our time is now or never”.

“The elders who are supposed to leave for us to take over from them, are not willing to relinquish power to the younger generation. They see us as spectators, fans who are clapping for them. But I can assure you, we are tired of clapping, it is Youth O’clock”.

He emphasized that you cannot bring the strategy of 1984 to solve the problem of 2024, the era that is technological driven with skills and modern innovation, he stated.

In attendance were: Mr. Cletus Udoh, Mr. Matthew Edhos, Mr. Mohammed Isah, Chief Emakpor John, Chief Friday Inang and Mr. Broderick Blessing amongst others.
