The Delta State chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has dismissed as false a medical report circulating online and linked to social media influencer Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, who recently claimed she was battling stage 4 cancer.
In a statement jointly signed by the association’s Chairman, Israel Adaigho, and Secretary, Usamah Hannah, respectively, the NMA said the histology report being shared online was altered and did not originate from the diagnostic facility cited.
According to the association, the report was allegedly issued by Xinus Medical Diagnostics and signed by consultant pathologist O. A. Odigwe.
However, the facility has denied issuing any such document to Blessing Okoro.
The NMA clarified that Xinus Medical Diagnostics is located in Asaba, Delta State, not Enugu State as suggested in the circulating report, and confirmed that no medical report was ever issued to the influencer.
Further investigation revealed that the authentic report being referenced actually belongs to a different patient, identified as Deborah Mbara.

The test, conducted in May 2025 at the request of a private hospital in Asaba, confirmed a case of breast cancer and was officially released on May 9, 2025.
The association noted that the genuine version of the report, bearing the correct patient’s name, is currently being circulated by a law firm, Allen Juris Law, while the version linked to Blessing Okoro appears to have been manipulated.
The NMA said the clarification became necessary due to the alleged misuse of the altered document in connection with public claims of a serious illness.
It warned members of the public to exercise caution and verify sensitive medical information before making donations or drawing conclusions, stressing the importance of protecting the integrity of medical professionals and institutions.
The association also called on relevant authorities to investigate the matter and take appropriate action to prevent misinformation and possible exploitation of unsuspecting individuals.
