A Nigerian cleric and inventor, Apostle George Oghenejabo Taigbenu, has stunned many with a groundbreaking discovery that could change the future of energy in Africa. The Delta-born innovator has created a new type of fuel from palm trees, which he says is clean, renewable, and powerful enough to run generators, motorcycles, cars, and even airplanes.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with The Trumpet Newspaper, Ogenejabo, who hails from Erowha Kingdom in Isoko South LGA, Delta State, revealed that his passion for tackling climate change and creating jobs for Nigerians inspired the invention. He explained that the fuel produces no soot, unlike fossil fuels that blacken generators exhausts and pollutes the air. According to him, a white handkerchief placed at the exhaust of a generator using his fuel will remain spotless even after long usage.

“The world is moving beyond fossil fuels, and Nigeria must not be left behind,” he declared. “My fuel is clean, renewable, and environmentally friendly. It will not only protect our people from harmful emissions but also reduce the cost of energy for homes, businesses, and even airlines.”

The inventor disclosed that his innovation has already been certified by the Nigerian Building and Road Research Agency in Abuja, confirming it can be used across multiple engines. He believes it could even serve as an alternative to aviation jet fuel, potentially bringing down the high cost of air travel in the country.

Despite facing challenges during testing, including failed experiments and public hesitation to try the new fuel, Oghenejabo persevered. After several trials, he succeeded in perfecting the product, which he now produces in large quantities through his company, Taigbenu Oil and Gas Limited. Apart from fuel, he also produces cooking gas and fertilizer.

His long-term plan is to establish a refinery within the next five to ten years that will create thousands of jobs and contribute to Nigeria’s economic growth. He sees his invention as part of the “Delta Beyond Oil” vision, pushing the region and Nigeria at large into the era of renewable energy.

Political leaders, including APC executives in Abuja and former governors, have reportedly praised and congratulated him for his breakthrough. International investors, he said, are already in talks with him through regular Zoom meetings from the United Kingdom.

“I want to make Nigeria proud and put Isoko Nation, Delta State, and the entire Niger Delta on the global map of innovation,” he said passionately. “This invention is not just about fuel. It is about giving Nigerians hope, jobs, and a cleaner future.”

With global demand for clean and renewable energy rising, Apostle George Oghenejabo’s palm tree fuel invention could place Nigeria among the world’s leading innovators in the green energy revolution.
