The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) is joining forces with the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development to host the 2025 Nigeria International Air Show, an event poised to spotlight Nigeria’s aviation and aerospace potential on the global stage.
The partnership was confirmed in a statement by Tunde Moshood, Special Adviser on Media and Communications to the Aviation Minister, Festus Keyamo. During a courtesy visit to Keyamo, the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, expressed the importance of a unified approach to organizing the event, which is expected to enhance its global appeal and overall impact.
Air Marshal Abubakar revealed that NAF had initially been planning its own air show but decided to align its efforts with the ministry after learning of a similar initiative. This collaboration, he noted, would amplify the event’s scope, bringing international recognition to Nigeria’s aviation and aerospace sectors.
Minister Keyamo praised Abubakar’s foresight, describing the partnership as a transformative step toward achieving shared objectives. He emphasized that the synergy between the ministry and NAF would accelerate the planning and execution of the event, ensuring its success.
As part of the collaborative effort, an eight-member committee has been established to oversee all aspects of the air show. The committee, comprising representatives from both the ministry and NAF, will manage logistics, coordinate international collaborations, and engage with key stakeholders to ensure a seamless execution.
