The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has declared musician, Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington, wanted over alleged rape, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking.
According to NAPTIP, the allegations stem from a viral Instagram video in which Speed Darlington, allegedly confessed to having sexual relations with a 15-year-old girl and claimed he gave her ₦2,000 afterward.
In a statement on Friday, NAPTIP’s Director-General, Binta Bello, described the situation as highly serious, particularly in view of the rights of the minor involved.
“NAPTIP’s investigation commenced after the agency received reports about a viral video in which the musician made certain confessions.

“If the allegations are substantiated, they would constitute serious offences under the Trafficking in Persons (Prohibition) Enforcement and Administration Act, 2015, and the Cybercrime (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act, 2015,” Bello said.
The agency has released flyers declaring Speed Darlington wanted, urging members of the public with credible information about his whereabouts to come forward.
“The public is hereby notified that the individual whose photograph appears above is wanted by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) in connection with alleged offences of rape, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking,” the notice reads.
“Anyone with credible information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact the agency immediately.”
Before the latest development, Speed Darlington had earlier been summoned by NAPTIP to appear for questioning over the alleged incident.
In his response, Speed Darlington denied the allegations, insisting the viral video was purely for entertainment and educational purposes and that no such incident ever occurred.
