Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has assured that the squad do every possible to have a fruitful season.
Osimhen, who scored in the 4-0 thumping of Monza over the weekend to complement Napoli’s grip on top of Serie A table, stressed that every player, both those on the pitch of play and substitutes in the bench.
“Everyone, from those on the field to those on the bench, will try to give our all for this season. There are many challenges to understand where this Napoli can go,” Osimhen told DAZN.
In the match against Monza, Osimhen was substituted in the 84th minute to pave way for Algerian Adam Ounas but the 23-year-old’s reaction proved he was not happy to be withdrawn from action.
However, the player has clarified that he actions after being substituted was to invigorate Partenopei against the visitors.
He said, “It’s nothing to do with the change, but I wanted to motivate the team even more.”
Napoli are on top of the Serie A table courtesy of Sunday’s brace by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Osimhen’s second of the season and Kim Min-jae’s finisher.
Osimhen noted that the team performance from the start to finish was amazing having operated seamlessly.

“It was a great performance, I’m proud of how all this team interpreted from the first to the last minute,” he added.
Kvaratskhelia replaced Lorenzo Insigne in the starting lineup for Napoli and the Super Eagles striker has praised the player for adding depth to the attacking force.
The Georgian attacker partnered the Nigerian upfront which the latter added that they will continue to build the understanding more.
He said, “We will continue to work to build the understanding even more.
“He is a player who can give a lot and help us win the game,” Osimhen added.
Osimhen has netted on two consecutive occasions since the season began and would seek to sustain the constituency when Partenopei travel to Artemio Franchi, Firenze, to take on Fiorentina on Sunday, August 28, 2022.
