In a strategic move to enhance Nigeria’s air defense capabilities, senior officers from the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) have participated in the prestigious 2025 Military Flight Training Conference in Sardinia, Italy. The high-level event, held from March 31 to April 2, brought together global aviation experts to discuss cutting-edge innovations in military flight training.
The conference aligns with the vision of Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, who has consistently emphasized advanced training and force development as pillars of a stronger NAF. Speaking on the significance of skill enhancement, Abubakar remarked, “An air force’s strength is not just in its aircraft, but in the people who wake up every day ready to defend the nation, no matter the cost.”

Leading the NAF delegation was Air Vice Marshal SK Aneke, accompanied by a team of instructor pilots and an artificial intelligence (AI) expert. Industry-supported training programs and outsourcing solutions were also key topics of interest.
