Hajiya Zainab Hussain, the mother-in-law of the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brig. Gen. Mohamed Marwa (rtd) has passed away.
She died in the early hours of Saturday, June 21, 2025, in Abuja, at the age of 76.
Hajiya Hussain was the mother of Hajiya Munira Marwa, the wife of the NDLEA boss.
Her death has drawn condolences from family, friends, and well-wishers across the country.
According to a statement issued by the family, the funeral prayer (Janazah) will be held today at 2:00 pm at the National Mosque in Abuja.
Interment will follow immediately at the Gwarinpa Cemetery, Abuja.

“We pray that Allah (SWT) forgives her shortcomings, grants her eternal rest, and admits her into Aljannatul Firdaus,” the family said in a statement released on Saturday morning.
The family also requested the public to keep them in their prayers during this difficult time.
Brig. Gen. Marwa (rtd), a respected former military governor and current anti-narcotics czar, is widely known for his reform-driven leadership at the NDLEA.
The passing of his mother-in-law comes at a moment when the agency under his watch continues to intensify its nationwide war against drug abuse and trafficking.
