The member representing Isoko North/South Federal Constituency, Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko, has charged leaders and people of Owhe clan to remain united in support of the PDP Chairmanship and councilorship candidates in the forthcoming Local Government Council Election scheduled for July 13.
The House of Representative member gave the charge on Friday at his Erawha-Owhe country home in Isoko North Local Government Area, Delta State when he played host to leaders of thoughts, critical stakeholders and political appointees of Owhe Clan.
The meeting was attended by former Secretary to State Government, Sir Simeon Efenudu, the Isoko North Local Government Council Chairman candidate, Prince Godwin Ogorugba, Executive Assistant to the State Governor, Dr. Patrick Akporuno, Chief Peter Odunwa, Senior Special Assistants to the State Governor, Hon. Mike Ogwah and Hon Daniel Tutumor amongst others.
The Isoko Federal lawmaker, in his opening remark, appreciated the leaders and people of Owhe clan for their support given to the administration of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, himself and the member representing Isoko North State Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Bernard Odior.
He called for continued support for the State Government and elected representatives, saying, “Yes, we know the pains you all are going through. The only way to address the pains is for us to give the needed support, and I assure you we will continue to do more for our people.
“Recently, there was political development regarding the Party’s Chairmanship ticket. It was not easy, but God favoured the Owhe clan to have it. We must accept the decision as a blessing to us in Isoko North Local Government Area.
“We must rally round our own with votes and resources. Let’s show strength and voting power. Let’s go back to our brothers and sisters at our wards to mobilize, support and vote for our brother, Prince Godwin Ogorugba as Chairman, and for all councilorship candidates of the PDP, which is a grassroots party.
“I want to urge us, particularly, our religious leaders and cultural institutions, we have the responsibility to preach unity to our people. I have not seen an Owhe son fighting each other. We are known for supporting each other.

Thus, we must stay united and turn out massive votes for candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party in the forthcoming Delta State Local Government Elections.” Hon. Ukodhiko added
Executive Assistant on Political Matters to the Delta State Governor, Dr Akporuno, said, the meeting was timely and it was a joy, assuring tthat, “Myself, Hon. Mike Ogwah and Owhelogbo community will stand by you, Ogorugba and councilorship candidates.”
Former Secretary to Delta State Government and Head of Service, Sir Simeon Efenudu, commended Hon. Ukodhiko for convening the meeting and urged the leadership of the Owhe clan to remain united in support of the party’s candidates.
The PDP chairmanship candidate, Isoko North Local Government Council, Prince Ogorugba thanked Hon. Ukodhiko for calling the meeting and appreciated leaders of the clan, assuring, everyone would be carried along when elected.
He further assured he would work for the unity and sustainable development of Owhe clan and Isoko North Local Government Area as Council Chairman.
