The Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Council, Hon. Prince Godwin Ogorugba, officially inaugurated four new Supervisors on Thursday. The appointees—Akpoedafe Thomas, Odbibi Anthony, Alebe Joshua, and Egwu Alakpodia Oghenero—were charged with a mandate to serve with diligence, effectiveness, and proactive leadership.
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Council Secretariat in Ozoro, following a thorough screening by the legislative arm, led by Hon. Pascal Emeluaha. During the ceremony, Chairman Ogorugba emphasized the importance of their roles in driving the MORE Agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori. He stressed that their appointments were based on merit, urging them to focus on creating value and fostering a positive impact in the community.
“You were carefully selected for your commitment and dedication,” Ogorugba stated. “Your role is to make a tangible difference in our local government, ensuring that our people see the benefits of effective governance.”

The Chairman expressed his gratitude to the political, bureaucratic, and religious leaders who supported the event, with a special mention of the House Leader for the efficient screening process.
In their new roles, Engr. Akpoedafe Thomas will oversee Agriculture and Community Development, Comr. Joshua Alebe will manage the Environment portfolio, Hon. Anthony Odhibi Egbere will handle Health and Safety, and Comr. Alakpodia Oghenero Egwu will be responsible for Works.
Speaking on behalf of the newly appointed Supervisors, Engr. Akpoedafe Thomas thanked the Chairman and party leaders for their confidence in them. He promised that they would bring their collective experience and expertise to bear in fulfilling their duties and advancing the Council’s objectives.
This appointment is expected to strengthen local governance and drive significant development in Isoko North.
