Lawmaker urges Christians to give thanks to God

The Member representing Isoko North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko, Sunday, urged Christians in Nigeria to cultivate the habit of thanking God always no matter the circumstances being experienced.

According to the House of Representatives member, it is very important for every Christian to always give thanks to God in great things and little things.

Hon. Ukodhiko gave the admonition on Sunday during the ‘Special Thanksgiving Service’ of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Everlasting Father Assembly, Erawha-Owhe in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State.

He said, “It is good and, also beneficial to always give to God Almighty for us Christians to experience opened doors of blessings and grace.

“I know our faith and trust are in God, our Heavenly Father. But, it is imperative we should cultivate the habit of thanking God always, and stop the habit of complaining always.

“As your representative at Federal House of Representatives in Abuja, I feel your pulses, your pains, and I am assuring you all of hope of everything good will come.

“There are a couple of things we have done which included the specialized agricultural empowerment for 144 constituents, distributions of palliatives during and after the Yuletide

Also, various educational scholarship schemes have been given, and we are still doing more including payment of monthly stipends to hundreds of our Constituents and families in Isoko North and Isoko South to ameliorate the present sufferings,

“We are still rolling out more empowerment packages and schemes for our people. Some of our unemployed graduates are being given employment in private companies and others in Government establishments, and many more youths will be empowered very soon.” Ukodhiko assured.
