The Lagos State Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA) in the Ministry of Education has commenced mandatory registration, data update and validation exercise for all approved, registered and unregistered Nursery, Primary, Secondary and Sixth Form schools operating in Lagos State.
This was disclosed in a statement by the Director-General of OEQA, Mrs Abiola Seriki-Ayeni. She stated that the school registration and validation exercise for the year 2022 is essential to ascertain schools still in operation across the State.
She disclosed that the online registration exercise had commenced on Friday, 15th July 2022 and will end on Friday, 12th August 2022.
She noted that the Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA) is responsible for the standardisation, monitoring and regulation of all schools (Private and Public) below the tertiary level in Lagos, including the establishment and management of the database of all private schools in the State.

Mrs Ayeni urged school administrators to complete the form, update their data, upload a copy of their National identity cards and supply other basic information of current school managers and administrators.
According to her, all schools below the tertiary level are required to visit the website of the Education Quality of Assurance (www.oeqalagos.com) to access the form and download guidelines.

She implored all schools to participate in the registration and validation exercise for the year and illustrated that schools with multi-campuses must register each campus individually.
The Director-General further stated that the exercise is for all approved Private Secondary Schools, Nursery and Primary Schools, Registered and unregistered Nursery and Primary as well as Secondary.
