Lagos State has officially set the wheels in motion for the construction of the long-anticipated Lekki-Epe International Airport, as Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with globally renowned construction giant, Summa Group, on Saturday.
Announcing the development on his official X handle, Sanwo-Olu described the project as a game-changer that will revolutionize air travel, boost economic growth, and position Lagos as a top destination for global investments.
“We have taken a bold step towards making Lagos a world-class economic hub. The Lekki-Epe International Airport will improve connectivity, attract foreign investors, and create massive opportunities for businesses and residents,” Sanwo-Olu stated.
