Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas, has reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the agricultural sector as he distributes fertilizer to dry-season farmers in ATC, in Jalingo , the state capital, and Ardo-kola local government council.
Making the distribution through his Special Adviser on Agriculture, Zanau Hassan Maikasuwa, the governor emphasized the benefits of dry-season farming, noting that it enables better water management and increased yields.
He encouraged farmers to utilize the fertilizer effectively to enhance productivity and improve their economic well-being.
As Kefas distributes fertilizer, the initiative also included training sessions aimed at educating farmers on modern agricultural techniques.

Maikasuwa reiterated that governor Kefas’ agricultural vision extends beyond providing resources, stating that, “he is also focused on equipping farmers with the knowledge needed to maximize their harvests.”
Beneficiaries who spoke through our reporter, applauded the governor’s support, acknowledging that the fertilizer would ease farming challenges and significantly contribute to increased food production in the state.
Governor Kefas, according to them, has consistently championed agricultural development in Taraba, by implementing policies and providing essential farming inputs to boost productivity and food security across the state.
